Traditional materials remain an important part of my creative process. As a watercolor illustrator, I enjoy working with watercolor, gouache, coloured pencils, graphite and mixed media to create detailed fantasy illustrations with a handmade character. I also work digitally with Procreate and Nomad Sculpt, using these tools to explore ideas and create 3D figures that can become figurines, ornaments or jewellery.

Nature is one of my greatest sources of inspiration. Mushrooms, woodland creatures, plants and unusual natural forms often become the starting point for new characters and stories. My fascination with fungi has developed into an entire world of Mushroom Folk, making me a passionate mushroom artist as well as a fantasy illustrator. Through my Mushroom Folk Field Guide, I transform real fungi into curious characters with their own personalities, stories and place within my imaginary world.

I am also a fantasy character artist, creating everything from mischievous woodland creatures and magical beings to witches, spirits, mythical creatures and darker inhabitants of the forest. My work often combines the whimsical with the unsettling, resulting in a style I like to describe as creepy-cute fantasy.

Much of my inspiration also comes from personal experiences and emotions. Earlier in my artistic journey, this often resulted in more pop-surrealistic illustrations and paintings. Over the years, however, I have gradually returned to my greatest artistic love: the world of fantasy.

My fantasy artwork has been exhibited and published internationally, including exhibitions in the Netherlands, Portugal, the United States and Japan. I have also created work for magazines and participated in events such as Elf Fantasy Fair and Comic, Film & Manga Fest.

I currently sell original artwork, prints, stickers and other products featuring my illustrations. My aim is to create artwork that invites you to pause for a moment, step into another world and perhaps discover a little magic in the strange and wonderful things around us.
